Pizza night

We tested the new pizza oven from Delivita at Tent 1. Here's what we learned:

  • Allow 45 minutes to get the oven up to temperature for optimum cooking conditions. Thereafter, you only need to add a small piece of wood every 10-15 minutes

  • Pizzas take approx 3 minutes to cook

  • Keeping a production line of cooking, slicing and sharing seemed the best way to keep the hungry teenagers happy

  • Allow about 3/4 inch of dough uncovered arond the edge and don't overfill

  • The dough is SO much better than pre-made pizzas from the supermarket

  • Semolina flour on the pizza peel helps avoid sticking
